The Story Behind My Piano Playing
It is not without reason that the piano is the most important instrument in the life of every musician. I started learning the piano quite late, at the age of 12. Thanks to my Russian teacher and my diligence, I made rapid progress. If I had chosen this instrument as a child, I would be a pianist today. Because the truth is, I prefer playing the piano to the classical flute. The piano is always my starting point and also the basis for all my compositions. I even compose my flute parts on the piano, unless I'm improvising. It took me a while to dare to present myself as a piano player. Today, I don't measure myself against anyone else. When you listen to my piano music, you hear all its origins. You arrive at the source where everything begins and unfolds, and where all feelings and sounds reveal themselves in their natural nakedness. For me, this is the purest form of expression for well-thought-out concepts, but lately also for the spontaneous improvisation of momentary feelings.
What do I want to achieve?
Playing the piano is always a very intimate moment for me. In this world, I am ready to captivate everyone who listens to me and to reveal my fragility through my immature technical skills on this instrument. The piano has taught me to do what brings me joy without thinking about whether it will please others or not. If you listen carefully, my deepest thoughts and feelings will reveal themselves to you.
